Qonvert User Guide
Getting Started with Qonvert
Welcome to Qonvert, your comprehensive tool for unit conversions. This guide will walk you through every feature so you can get accurate results quickly and understand the principles behind measurement conversion.
Qonvert runs entirely in your browser. After the initial page load, all calculations happen locally on your device, which means no data is sent to our servers and results appear instantly.
Using the Conversion Tools

Changing the Language
Qonvert is available in 6 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, and Italian. Use the language selector at the top-right corner of any page to switch languages. Your preference is saved in your browser's local storage and will persist between visits.
Understanding Conversion Accuracy
All conversion factors used by Qonvert follow officially defined SI (International System of Units) standards. The conversion formulas are based on the exact definitions of each unit, providing accuracy to several decimal places — sufficient for everyday use, academic work, and most professional applications.
For extremely large or small numbers, JavaScript's floating-point arithmetic may introduce minor rounding errors at the 15th decimal place or beyond. For practical purposes, this does not affect the accuracy of real-world measurements.

Troubleshooting
- The converter doesn't show results
- Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser. Qonvert relies on JavaScript to perform calculations. If you see a blank result area, try refreshing the page.
- The language selector doesn't work
- Some translations may not be available for all page elements. We are continuously expanding our translation coverage. Try selecting a different language and switching back to reset the interface.
- My conversion result seems wrong
- Double-check that you have selected the correct source and target units. Some units (e.g., US gallons vs. UK gallons) are different measurements with the same name. Also verify your input value for typos.
